Mauro Calo Breaks The Record For The Longest Car Drift


As of June 19, 2011, Mauro Calo has officially entered the Guinness World Book of World Records with the longest car drift. Calo and his completely unmodified Mercedes C63 AMG sports sedan have smashed the existing World Record by 394 meters achieving a total distance of 2308 meters.

Aston, Maybach ‘to team up’ to bring a unique concept to the Frankfurt auto show.


Aston Martin and Maybach are discussing building a concept car together, possibly for the Frankfurt show in September and the move could signal an impending partnership between Aston 
and Mercedes-Benz.
Little is known about the concept, except that it is likely to be a luxury car, with a high-quality interior finished to the hand-crafted standards of a British luxury saloon.
Aston is understood to have approached Mercedes with an idea for at least one concept, although a source suggests that two projects are the subject of discussions. Neither Aston Martin nor Mercedes would comment.

2012 Porsche Panamera Turbo S


The seventh model of the Panamera has been unveiled the most powerful of all its predecessors. The Turbo S is the most powerful and most expensive of course at a suggested price of $173,000. The car will make it's first appearance at the NY Auto Show on April 20th, 2011. The improvements added are very impressive, the Turbo S is equipped with a 4.8 liter, V8 biturbo engine delivering an impressive 550HP, 50HP more than the previous version. The car can comfortably go from 0 to 100km/h in 3.6s and can reach a top speed of 305km/h.
