Innovative device from Dell, the "Dell Splinter"

In association with Chris Corrigan and Groups’ brainchild Dells new project is taking shape to set  us free from carrying a laptop, a cell phone or a camera separately for seeking optimum result out of the devices. All our desired needs have been put together into a ‘simple looking, complex working’ small tablet device. But this is surely not another iPad of that kind.

The new google notebook with "no programs"

Google just launched a new type of laptops, the Chromebook, using the new Google Chrome OS. This means no programs, no desktop, and nothing to start up. Which will allow the laptop to boot in less than 8 seconds, doesn't require updates or anti-virus since google promises that it's built in security is enough. The web, rather than a local hard drive is also used for storing data, files, music, documents and videos. Which means you will never lose anything since everything can be accessible online.

Smart phones can be a threat to your safety!

You know those personal pictures or files you have on your computer and your phone? Basically the reason why you have a password protected phone or laptop... Well they're not safe anymore! It can also be a simple picture. Just to let you know how easy it is for someone who know what they are doing, I have a friend who was working on a program similar to the one they are talking about. Where if you take a picture in a certain place, something like google maps can give you the location of where the picture was taken. Now with a little more hacking added to the mix and they hacker can track you down and from the picture taken or uploaded he can access your information stored in you laptop and phone...

So what is really private now a days? Nothing I guess...

iPad 2 out in Canada yesterday!

I have never been a big fan of apple product but the popularity of the iPad 2 makes me think twice. It was set to launch in Canada yesterday, and already it is sold out. When apple launched the new iPad in the U.S. on the 11th of march a million devices were sold on the first day, compared to 500,000 units sold the first week after the launch of the older version. Good luck trying to buy one in the next few weeks since on Apple.ca, availability for all models of the iPad 2 is listed at three to four weeks.
