Using art to change the world

One of my close friends, Ramy, posted this video and it got my attention for the wrong reasons at first. All I can think about when I read the tittle was "pfffff another one of those!" but as I watched what this artist was doing and the way he was doing it, I got more and more interested. Even though I love nice art I am no longer interested in it because it seems like it lost it's meaning. Art used to be accompanied by science and strong meaning, it was a way to express believes and prove scientific methods and facts but we don't encounter someone like Leonardo Di Vinci anymore... This video kind off revived my love to meaningful art. Who would've thought a French street artist who can barely talk English would be capable of something this big.

Canadian elections

Since the beginning of their campaigns I noticed one thing and it's been bothering me so much. All their speeches, all four of them, are based on what the other party did wrong and accusing each other of either coalition or abuse of power. Until now I did not hear one speech about what each party wants to do and how they can fix the budget and what they can bring to the Canadians. It would be alright if they say that they will be doing something that the other party won't but it's not okay for them to just state what the other party isn't doing or doing wrong.

Speaking about Libya... this is why I will miss Gaddafi if he goes.

During his U.N. speech in 2009, Gaddafi revolutionized they was a speech should be done and showed new ways of opposing to something... Just throw it!

Libyan fighters retake key strategic towns  from Gaddafi's forces. The reason why towns like Ajdabiya, Ras Jawad, recaptured by the rebels, are very strategic accomplishment is because they are some of the major oil port in Libya. As those results unfold, the U.S. position becomes more obvious.

Canadian elections set for May 2nd

The Canadian opposition accused the Harper government of abuse of power and highly contested his budget plan. As a result the liberal party joined forces with the 2 other opposition parties taking a stand again the conservatives. Which means joined together they have a lot more power than the conservative's. A motion was passed yesterday from the opposition and the results of the votes showed 156 votes in favor, 11 more than the votes against. This is the first time in Canada that the government was found in contempt of the parliament and as a result Steven Harper, after discussing with the governor general David Johnson, decided to dissolve the parliament.

So recently I've been writing on a friends blog, amazing blog btw you should all check it out, http://hrmshaker.blogspot.com/, and I decided to create my own. This blog will feature a different topic everyday starting with monday about news and politics, sports on tuesday, diet and exercise on wednesday, fashion on thursday, funnies on friday, technology and science on saturday and randoms on sunday. I hope I will be able to keep it up 7 days a week, if not I apologize for those waiting or following a specific topic on a certain day of the week, I will try to make it up the next week.
