Although I am a fashion ignorant, I can't help but noticing well dressed girls and what I notice the most is usually the shoes. I've always seen a very small number of girls wearing heals with red soles, not knowing a thing about high-end shoes designers I thought this was a certain added design. It's not until recently that I discovered what those specific red soled heels are.
I discovered this after seeing a picture of a close friend sitting next to the man behind these shoes, Christian Louboutin. As it turns out red soles are the signature of a high-end women's shoes designer. On the 27th of march 2007 Louboutin filed an application for the U.S. trademark protection of this red sole design, he said "In 1992 I incorporated the red sole into the design of my shoes. This happened by accident as I felt that the shoes lacked energy so I applied red nail polish to the sole of a shoe. This was such a success that it became a permanent fixture." which made it his own signature. Which means if you ever see a girl wearing heels with red soles, she probably spent a fortune on them, or her boyfriend did. Louboutin shoes or heel prices start at $500 and goes to $2000+. His most expensive shoes are around $6,300.
I now have a new appreciation to the girls wearing red soles.
